Paths forward based on fantasy and deceit will lead nowhere.
Attention Leaders!
Those listening to your blatant falsehoods are not as stupid and ignorant as you believe.

During an industry's disruption or diminishing value, leaders' tendency to lie increases. Anytime one's future is threatened by insecurities, deception can become one's traveling companion.

Leaders who believe they can hide reality through lies or distractions should retire. It's not the 1990's. The power of technology is far more powerful than any leader's aspirations of controlling a narrative based on fantasy. The days of saying trust me without addressing known facts are over.

In short, today's leaders should not assume that what they are hiding is hidden.

Teams fall apart as trust is violated! The team starts asking why are we being lied to.

Organizations become dysfunctional quickly when team members lose faith in their leaders and search for new homes. Within these dysfunctional organizations, lies are rarely challenged as the potential challenger understands that the lying leader is more comfortable managing lies over reality.

Remember, quality people always have options. Find a team led by honest leaders. Refrain from settling on teams where lies are valued more than truth.
